She mentioned the problem has gone away before and then come back later. I'm not sure if any one thing fixed the issue or if the fix is permanent or not. Un-synced and then re-sync the Teams library.Uninstalled Azure Information Protection and disabled it from Word.We were able to fix most of the issues for now using the following: She has sufficient permissions on her machine, and I can't reproduce the issue on my machine, but I haven't tried logging into her machine with my account.The Word files are opened from her local OneDrive folder using File Explorer.DOCX which is weird because it's a brand new file already using. ![]() Also if she does save this file, it gives another message that Word will upgrade her document to. By "Locked" I mean that auto-save is turned off and when she attempts to save, it wants her to save to some other location and it changes that document name to that weird "~1.DOC.docx" format. This will reset OneDrives software configuration and settings.
